Math is applicable is everyday usage, but most individuals don’t know how to apply or fit in the formulas. Math maybe important, but knowing how to use it on a daily basis makes our lives and problem solving more efficient. Therefore, I believe having math in our education is something we need to focus more on. Optimizing and calculating our best potential outcomes, will provide better knowledge and experience within our end goal.
Why is math good for children?
I believe that math is very important, especially for a young person's mind. The reason why I believe math is crucial in our daily lives is because it is the building blocks of the younger generation's common sense. Ok, that maybe going a little to far, but understanding patterns, and knowing how to find a specific answer is a way our brain develops. It exercises our mind and creates more than "just" math, but making our lives easier.
Well, another great example is, if a child can calculate the near future, or have a thought or an idea, they may draw this graph on a piece of paper and visually understand what it is that they are capable of doing (or not doing).
