ECON 1740 - US Economic History

Reflective Free to Choose definitely helped me with all four of the learning outcomes. I did acquire substantive knowledge because the book “Free to Choose” also mentioned other countries, and briefly mentioned how their imports and exports also affected our economy. The book also mentioned the two speeches, “House Division” by Abraham Lincoln and “The Pursuit of Happiness,” by Thomas Jefferson, and explained how it was closely related to economy.
Communicating effectively is talked about in this book by productivity, and how it is essential in any business or work environments. Thinking critically by understanding how anything or everything works. Having basic knowledge or why we do things and becoming civically engaged by realizing that we need a community to keep what we have going. For example, keeping Utah busy as we have always been (Beehive state). To keep up our state, we need to keep working hard. |
